PROSPERITY IN EAST LONDON
PROSPERITY IN EAST LONDON
Students in K3 & K4 had an opportunity to work with UCL Institute for Global Prosperity. They participated in sessions hosted by researchers from UCL on a project related to Newham called “Prosperity in East London”.
The project was finding out how people are experiencing social and economic change in Stratford and Forest Gate, especially in light of the Olympic Games and associated regeneration activities in the area. Students learnt about what prosperity and “the good life” means to different people, and what are people’s aspirations for the future. Students were able to articulate what prosperity means to them, and what they need in order to feel prosperous.
